Wooden Toys - encouraging creativity and interaction

In this day and age of computer games and for some children limited interaction once they become engrossed in the latest version of their favourite game, it is a breath of fresh air to see children playing with more traditional toys. Toys that increase creativity and imagination are perfect for encouraging children to interact with each other and with parents too. Imagination is an important childhood development but creativity is also a key to a child's success.

There are lots of wooden toys that help to develop creativity in children. Think for instance of an artist easel, much better than painting at the table or on the floor - children can express themselves, whilst imagining they are an artist. Other great ideas that help children develop creative skills are musical instruments. Through the understanding of rhythm and sound, toy musical instruments such as pianos, tambourine and guitars can really help a child to play, interact and share whilst developing their individual creativity.
