What is it about the emergency services that children find so fascinating? You only have to hear the wail of a siren in the far distance before kids go rushing to the nearest vantage point to see if it’s a fire engine, police car or ambulance rushing to someone’s help? Maybe it’s the vibrant colours or the flashing lights; perhaps it’s the siren itself – children love nothing better than whooping up a storm and loud noises play right into the hands of our lovable but noisy little devils – or maybe it’s simply the speed that appeals.

Kids love the fire station which has two floors which are connected by – what else? – a pole which will lead to lots of fun when the crew is called to an emergency and need to get down to the fire engine as soon as possible. The top floor, like the ground floor, is open on two sides for ease of access and to maximise fun, and has two sets of windows at both ends. The ground floor has large fire doors at the front which allow the fire engine to fit into the station. At the rear is an arched doorway through which fire crew can enter or exit. Lucky owners of the fire station will appreciate the long list of accessories that are supplied as part of this brilliant set: four lockers for personal belongings; a control desk and matching chair; satellite dish; bunk beds; table and chairs; and a useful shelf unit. A set of four Pintoy Firefighters, complete with useful accessories, is available separately to complement this toy and of course the fantastic fire engine. As with all Pintoy toys, the Fire Station has been tested to European toy safety standard EN71 and is made with rubberwood that has reached the end of its life cycle on sustainable latex plantations. Rubberwood is recognised as an environmentally friendly material which absorbs carbon monoxide and converts it into latex, wood and soil.
