Today has been a big day for WoodenToyShop. For the very first time, we are visiting the national Toy Fair at Olympia. In previous careers we weren’t so fussed on trade fairs and seminars, but now that we run our own business, today and tomorrow at the fair represent a real opportunity for us to cement relationships with our suppliers, meet potential new suppliers and most importantly of all, to get an early look at the new wooden toys that will be on offer to toyshops and ultimately to children later on this year. Wooden Toys and Cognitive Development
A very interesting thing happened over Christmas. I was very happy that so many members of my family chose to support our new business venture and bought lots of wooden toys for smaller members of the clan, especially for my cousin’s 15 month old son. When Mum and Dad and Baby E visited my parents on Boxing Day, the little fellow was presented with a procession of wooden toys. This was especially fascinating for me because try as we might, it is impossible to see all of our toys ‘in action’. Continue reading

Last week I talked about how pleased we were to have noticed that toy garages remain as popular as they ever were. It comes as no surprise then, that toy cars and vehicles are also firm favourites with WoodenToyShoppers.
