    Building the Tidlo Kitchen Station, according to my husband, was a piece of cake (all puns intended). Clear instructions and everything where it should be, the kitchen, once built was the perfect size for not only the playroom but our relatively tall 3 year old.     When I saw The Wooden Toy shop asking for reviewers I knew that I had to put my girls forward. They don’t have nearly enough wooden toys and with me becoming a child minder I was on the look out for a great place to buy some from. We selected to receive a Janod wooden car garage because we have only ever been disappointed with the plastic ones we have bought in the past. In fact I reckon that the last plastic car garage we bought had the shortest life of a toy ever in this house. From badly constructed to poor materials the garage didn’t even last a week and the shop we bought it from admitted that it is well known to not be very good quality. Continue reading

    My little girl (and I) have been having lots of fun playing with this beautifully made cosmetics set by BigJigs. I don't think my daughter could have been more excited when she opened her surprise package and saw what it was. She kept repeating "this is my set, my own set, this is my set"... so I think she was pleased to have her own set to play with, it was very sweet! Continue reading

    My 3 boys and I were very pleased to be able to review this John Crane train set, as soon as it arrived they were excited about setting it up. My eldest took charge and set it up, mostly by himself. He is 10 and it was lovely to see him as excited by a toy rather than a computer game as these days it is getting harder for me to get him to use his imagination. Continue reading
