Some of you with culinary-minded little ones may have noticed that it’s getting increasingly difficult to get your hands on the John Crane Tidlo Country Play Kitchen. We’ve got a fantastic range of toys for Christmas, but the Country Play Kitchen has proven to be this year’s must-have item and stocks are becoming exhausted across the UK and online.
Even at WoodenToyShop.co.uk we’ve seen the last one shipped off to be lovingly wrapped and given pride of place under the tree. Well, not quite the last one.
We’ve partnered up with Devon-based charity Reach (www.reach.org.uk), the Association for Children with Upper Limb Deficiency, to offer up our very last Play Kitchen in a special auction. Love might not buy you one of these fantastic toys, but money just might!
We’ll be launching the auction on Wednesday 18th of December and it will run until Monday 23rd at 9am, at which point the winning bidder will be notified and their Christmas shopping saved. All proceeds from the auction will be donated directly to Reach. Please read on to find out about the fantastic work that this association is determined to carry out:
Each year, babies are born in the UK missing part of one or both arms and hands. Added to these are a small number of children who lose limbs or parts of limbs due to traumatic incidents or necessary surgery. For many of the families of these children it is the first time that they will have come across such a disability. Reach aims to provide these families with the opportunity to get together, share experiences and information about what options they have and where to go for advice regarding treatment and most importantly, to help them realise that they are not alone.
We want to raise as big a total as we can for this incredible cause and so we urge you to dig deep – it’s a great toy that’ll be the highlight of Christmas for your special somebody, but beyond that your generosity will help hundreds of children nationwide who suffer from issues related to upper limb deficiency.
